Evaluation and Treatment Plans

We accept walk-ins and scheduled appointments at Jena Medical Walk-In in Orange City, Florida. Our laser varicose vein treatment takes just 10 minutes to complete. The vein treatment stops the blood from pooling and flowing in the wrong direction. It also re-directs the blood towards your healthy veins. When this occurs, blood flow to the abnormal veins stops and those veins eventually disappear.

There is no pain, however it’s normal to experience minor discomfort during a laser vein treatment such as bruising and tingling. This typically resolves quickly, compared to traditional vein stripping that requires general anesthesia and a long, painful recovery. You can return to work and other regular activities right away. Walking immediately after treatment helps to stimulate the flow of blood to healthy veins.

In addition to the above, we offer these types of advanced vein treatments:

Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT)
Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA)
Microphlebectomy
Sclerotherapy
VeinGogh for small Spider Veins

Jena Medical Walk-In offers varicose vein treatment and several other services to people in Orange City, Debary, Deland, Deltona, and the surrounding communities. We look forward to helping you look and feel your best.

What Causes Varicose Veins?

Varicose veins are a common condition caused by weakness or damage to one or more veins. The veins in your legs act as a one-way blood delivery system to your heart. When weakness or damage occurs, the valves within the veins can’t open or close properly and the blood flows backwards. This eventually causes a pooling of backed-up blood. Although you can’t see what is happening inside of your body, it’s easy to spot varicose veins by their spider-like appearance on the surface of your skin.

Varicose veins are often red, but they can also appear blue or the same color as your flesh. They show up most often on the calves, inside of the leg, and on the thighs. Some people also have them on their hands. In women, varicose veins can appear on the buttocks or vaginal area as well.

The term varicose means that the veins have enlarged or stretched beyond their original capacity. You may also hear our doctors refer to varicose veins as Chronic Venous Insufficiency or Venous Reflux. It is a vein disease and not merely a cosmetic concern.

Jena Medical Group offers laser vein treatment and several other services.
